HIckory is one of the best types of Firewood one can get in New England!  It is super hard, burns very hot, and for a long time.  The "stringiness" of the logs acts like a built in kindling.  The wood is heavy, and not as easy to find, but everyone that I have sold Hickory to has been more than happy, and at half the price of Kiln Dried, it is basically a no brainer!
